Currently, the operating port and warehouse facility is located between Harbor Road, Rinaldo Road, and River Road (Kentucky Highway 331). This state highway is AAA rated and connects Owensboro Riverport to the National Truck Highway Network and an existing industrial park. The port is less than two miles from U.S. Highway 60 providing access to the Audubon Parkway, the Natcher Parkway, U.S. Highway 231, and U.S. Highway 431. These routes offer further connections to the Western Kentucky Parkway, Interstate 64 in southern Indiana, and Interstate 65 at Bowling Green, KY.

Rail service to the Riverport is provided by CSX. The main rail line bisects the port’s property and serves several on-site industries and facilities. The highlight of the port’s rail infrastructure is a rail loop of approximately 5,700 linear feet on 102 acres near the port’s northern edge. Unit trains, consisting of 100 railcars (50’ length) hauling various bulk materials have been utilized on this rail loop. In addition to the loop, rail is provided to four on-site warehouses; which, comprise approximately 400,000 square feet of covered, indoor space. Rail is also provided to both the grain and fertilizer storage areas and conveyors.

All major barge lines (including but not limited to AEP River Transportation, Alter, American Commercial, Crouse, Ingram, Kirby, Memco, Mid-South, and Ohio River) provide service to the Owensboro area. Tug and/or fleeting services are available 24 hours a day by Evansville Marine Service – Owensboro.

The Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport, located just four miles away, offers the second longest runway in Kentucky at 8,000 feet and provides air transportation via commercial and private air carriers.
